We have just installed white real wood venetian blinds to a large door area in Bromley, Kent. Normally we do not recommend venetians over the door area as they are heavy to pull up and would normally require ducking under the blind to access the garden. In this case we installed the blind on the outside of the recess to help with pulling blinds out the way of the door when open and by switching from faux wood venetians to real wood we have reduced the weight by at least a third.
